The 22nd Upover/Downunder ENT Meeting held in Canazei Italy was a resounding success.
The contributions of our distinguished faculty were once again lead by Professor Andreas Leunig from Munich who chaired the Rhinology program which also gets the meeting off to a great start.
- Greg Osetinksy with great distinction covered most aspects of our specialty.
- Scott Coman headed up the head and neck section while Payal Mukherjee and Romain Kania had the Otologic section well represented.
- Chuck Myer and his family held up the specialty of paediatric otolaryngology in a very good manner.
One of the pleasing features of this year’s meeting were the papers presented by the young female surgeons, they enriched the program with well thought out and interesting presentations.
In 2026 our dinner on the mountain will be marked with a very special and well improved cuisine.
I thank Mario and his guides for touring supervision of our skiers.
There is a lot of interest being shown by Australian ENT nurses who may join us at the next meeting. Nurses from all over are most welcome to attend.
Many thanks for my daughter, Jane who organised travel, accommodation, and registration. The 2026 meeting will be held from 10-17 January, and I look forward to seeing you there.
